A simple one for you.I recently (using IE 6) removed the address bar and the buttons bar from my browser window using view/toolbars un-tick. Now I want them back, I have ticked them again - the buttons came back but the address bar is minimised into the top right hand corner - basically at the extreme right end of the buttons bar, and it does not show the "URL address" it just says in black text on a grey box "address".Please help me get my address bar back.
Also I thought you could press alt F11 or ctrl F11 and this would toggle the browser to have the buttons/address/options bars to appear/dissappear. I got this command from a catalogue on a CD with an HTML interface but it doesn't seem to work in the internet browser

You'll find the command you are referring to is simply F11 on its own
It makes the explorer window full screen and back.
As for the first option, sounds like your toolbar is "locked". Look in your view options to unlock the address bar
Finally, download firefox. It's much better than IE6[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Or right click on menu bar or tool bars.0

Why don't you view IE Help?To change the appearance of the Windows toolbar
- You can add or remove standard toolbar buttons, use smaller toolbar buttons like the ones used in Microsoft Office, and change the order they are displayed on the toolbar. Just right-click the toolbar, and then click Customize.
- You can move or resize the Address bar and Links bar by dragging them up, down, left, or right. You can even move them into the menu bar!
- You can hide the Address bar or Links bar by right-clicking the toolbar, and then clearing the check mark for each item you want to hide.
- You can add items to the Links bar by dragging the icon from the Address bar or dragging a link from a Web page.
- You can rearrange items on the Links bar by dragging them to a new location on the bar.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Thanks, yes it was locked, I didn't pay any attention to that option before. And thanks crox.
Espresso, thanks but none of that information would have helped me as it was locked and locking is not mentioned, and I was not aware that it being locked was what the problem was.0
