Furiosity with Northampton / Orange

Options
Hi,

I’m looking for a slight bit of help. I know people will have heard the scenario time and time again, I got a contract at 18/19 years old and due to financial struggle I ended up not paying it.

Cut the story short, Orange decided to file a CCJ against me after countless attempts to send it to credit reference agencies. However here comes the part,

They sent the CCJ to my old address, Which is my parents and I’ wasn’t living there. I received it after going to my parents to pick up on certain things, Now I got the CCJ from Northampton County Court. I read it thoroughly, Due to my financial situation I’m unable to pay the balance off which stands at around £750.. I filled in the part of my income and expenditure and offered a payment of £5 a month. This is all I can afford to spare. I sent the documents and information recorded delivery around 6 weeks ago and didn’t receive a reply until yesterday in which they’ve completely ignored what I have done and sent it to DLC ( Direct Legal and Collections) .. Now this completely infuriated me as I took the time out and effort to fill it in rather than ignore it. The letter states the CCJ has been actioned onto my credit file and they’re wanting the sum of £750..

Where do I stand here? Is there anything I can do or can someone give me some general advise, I may be wrong in which I don’t mind but surely something isn’t right?

Kind Regards,

Michael

    Hi

Had you ever informed Orange of your current address?

When you say you got the CCJ - was it that you received country court claim form prior to a judgement or that you received notice of the actual judgement?

If you were replying to the claim form what date was on the form and what date did you reply?

Or was it a redetermination form that you sent? and if so was that within 14days of the date of judgement?

If you cannot afford to pay in full then you can complete a form (and pay a fee) to apply to pay in installments or to pay a lower amount. This is an N245 (unless this is what you have already completed?)

Regarding your credit file, if you do not pay a CCJ in full within 1 month of the judgement then it is entered on your credit file.
