Laptop Recommendation

I need a laptop for £400 for Xmas for a family member. It doesn't need to be touch screen. The only game that will be used on it will be Football Manager. It will only be used for web surfing, downloading, watching videos etc.
Could people recommend any laptops?
Thanks

I would recommend the Lenovo G505 Retailing at £380, but tesco have it for £330

If you decide to go for the laptop recommended by GlasgowTech, I would suggest getting it from John Lewis rather than Tesco.
JL are selling it for £349.95

which is £20 more than Tesco, but they have a price match guarantee so you should be able to get it for the same price.
JL also give a 2 year guarantee on all laptops. (Tesco is only 1 year).0 -
£400
Lenovo Z500, 15.6", i3-3120, GT 635m, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD

Personally, I would never deal (or advise dealing with) any business who has a change of mind returns policy that is illegal.
If You Change Your Mind (DSR)
You may cancel the contract under the Distance Selling
Regulations by notifying us in writing, no later than 7 working days after we
deliver the goods that you are cancelling the contract for
The item must not be used and must be 'as new' when returned
to us. If the item does not include the original packaging a charge may be made.
We reserve the right to make a minimum charge of £50 to restore a used computer
back to factory default settings. Please note you cannot return a used computer
to us under the Distance Selling Regulations.
Under the DSR's, the goods can be tried and tested in your home and the retailer can't legally state that they must be returned unused, you do not have to return the original packaging, the retailer is not entitled to make any charge relating to restoring the goods and there is no DSR exemption for used items.
If they care this little about the law before selling, what might they be like should a problem occur at a later date?

Thanks for pointing that out.
It is up to OP if he want to deal with them. I bought stuff from them, it delivered quick without problem. And I do not change my mind...
If you can find a similar spec laptop with that price, then go for it.0
