Glasses Direct

Options
tried glasses direct for first time as I felt the high street prices were too expensive for my pension pocket.
Received specs, exactly what I wanted ,but there was a increase in prescription for one eye and specs felt a little out of focus,I also told them that I would use for driving.
2 month later, due op, will not drive much and specs wrong for reading [my fault]
contacted specs direct Email with problem...so helpfull..sent details with prepaid label
sent off specs, was kept informed by email [ I expected cost as my fault]
Recieved specs today ,suitable for reading , not driving WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE...that type of service deserves praise.
will not go anywhere else in future..great prices,service...

    Looks a bit confused, this.
So are you saying glasses direct are good, or specs direct are good ? (bold is added by me to try and clarify)
  • I would say he means he contacted glasses direct, directly through their email. I too have nothing but praise for glasses direct as they were doing a really good offer which would have saved me a load of money but they didn't have the glasses I wanted anymore and the deal ended the next day. So phoned them up and they said they would honour the deal on any pair of glasses I picked and sure enough they did even though the offer had ended. Save around £120.

it's worth clarifying though as specs direct are another competing company.

sorry for time taken to answer, having a bad time on meds after another op.
glasses direct was the company I was praising , although have used specs direct in past with no problem.
was just very happy that although my fault in time delay to contact them , the help at no charge I received made my day after being stuck in house on meds after spine op. and waiting for another.

Just received my two pairs of prescription reading glasses from Glasses Direct after reading the great deal on this site.

Ended up paying £25 for two pairs due to 2 for 1 offer plus £25 off. Even the quality of the frames is so much better than the cheaper ones I usually get from High St places where I have paid a lot more for such prescription glasses.

I will certainly use them again.
