best saving account?

Hi,
I have a lump sum i want to save. I posted earlier about ICIC but have decided against them because of teh negative feedback. So I was wandering what other high interest 'no-fuss, clean' accounts there are. I found HSBC:
http://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/personal/savings-investments/savings/online-saver
Can anyone beat that?
Thanks
PS
Ive maxed all my ISAs and want to stick the remainder in a HI account but that I have access with no penalties to should I need it.

    Try MSE Martin's recommendations.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Sainsbury's have an internet saver account a 6%. It has no penalties for withdrawing cash and is part of the HBOS bank so i'm thinking the're a little bit safer than in the ICICI (Indian Bank) or ICE Save (Icelantic Bank).
