as this is MSE one has to ask why? It's really no hassle to book flights, accom, and car hire too if you want, all yourself - and save the difference for spending money.

because it's my choice and thats how i want to do things.

    Hi
I would like to say, be careful when you book costa adeje, as adeje is a large area of tenreife, and travel agents have put people in adeje the region and they have been miles away from anywhere.

I go Tenerife 4 times a year, but don't stay this end as it's too spead out for me, we stay in the far end of las Americas/los cristianos area, around the safari centre, it's lovely round here, more compact, but has a range of different bars, expensive cocktail ones or cheap n cheerful bars.

I can highly recommend the marola portosin apts in this area, see the reviews on tripadvisor, as there fantastic.

Can't help with the package deal, again we do diy, as it's more flexiable for us, we book real cheap flights, then choose our accommodation, and a taxi from the airport, always works out cheaper,

here's a map of las Americas

not all of adeje hotels are on, as you can see.

the bouganvilla hotel is in grid D5
the marola portosin are in e8 down as stella polaris.

Have a look at Los Geranios for Adeje

I'm not sure if any of the proper package firms do it though
The independents should do it and make it look like a package but it likely won't be ............ and you'll be worse off than if you'd put it together yourself.
Just because some of the TAs sell you a flight, hotel, transfers etc. at the same time, doesn't mean it's a package.
These forums are littered with tales of issues where parts of the holiday are cancelled or changed by the supplier - only for the customer to find out they can't change another part of the holiday to suit as no 2 parts of the deal have any obligation to each other.

I'd either go with the big package companies or DIY it, I wouldn't touch the indies unless I was sure they were reputable.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

If you look at the map link it take approx. 10 mins to cross each square.

both the las dalias and the bouganvilla playa are in the san eugino area of adeje. About 20 mins walk from las Americas.

I've stayed at the las dalias it's ok, opposite the san eugino shopping centre, with some nice bars and restaurants over the road. And the nice Puerto colon beach, a 5 min walk away.
Can only comment on the location of the bouganvilla as I've not stayed here, but for me location is nice, right on the beach front.

Like moto2 said be careful who you book a package with, companies like alpharooms, travelrepublic and lowcostholidays, jet2 will sell you a package holiday, but infact it's just a diy that they have put together, and they charge you for the privilege, so many people have been caught out like this (again like moto2 said). And if something goes wrong with any element of the booking, they can be a pain in the rear to deal with.

Agree with this, have been to Tenerife a few times over the years and the last time we stayed at the parque Santiago 4 which is right across from the safari centre. I much prefer this area to the Adeje side. It's a lovely area and it's a lovely walk up into Los cris along the front. We were with our children and had a fab time.

Have stayed at the torviscas playa hotel around 7 years ago witch is the same company as the bouganvilla ,nice hotel but I found it to be full of old people with not a lot of excitement. Mind it may have changed since then x

Stayed at Laguna park 1 and atalaya court and both places were a dive. Also be careful to book somewhere close to the resort as they are building further and further up the hill and still classing it as Adeje. You could end up being mikes from anywhere.

OMG we stayed at atalaya court about 10 years ago, its was like staying in a cave, walking down dark steps to get into your room......and the walk down, was a pain in the rear getting back up.

I love the safari centre, if your every looking for accommodation around there, the marola portosin, is fantastic, for basic s/c, I tried to book it in feb for this new year, fully booked out, I got a good deal on the noelia sur, so it's 15 days there. :j

Thanks a lot for the recommendation, I will look at there. We definitely want to go back to Tenerife when we eventually have some money. Yeah it's probably 10 years since we went to atalaya court too. The apartment we had was near the top, so no dark and dinghy stairs but I do remember the toilet kept leaking and when it rained the water run down the hill and straight under the door. And that walk was horrendous, not to bad going down but walking back up after a few drinks wasn't fun lol x

    all good advice!
we stayed in the Las Dalias Iberostar last year, frankly we found the whole area round there pretty naff - certainly would not go back there again. Luckily we'd hired a car so were able to escape and tour the island; Parque del Teide is fantastic, almost moonscape in its beauty especially approaching sunset. Parts of Puerto de la Cruz have an unspoilt old world feel - I imagine how the whole island was fifty years ago. There's an excellent seafood restaurant on the harbour wall at Las Galletas on the southern tip of the island.
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....
