Wedding nightmare- to sue or not?

Hello all
New to here. Had major problems with our wedding venue- and they have not even apologised. I can't go into detail as they are a big company and have already threatened another couple for using social media to share their experience.
Has anyone else had problems with a venue they used for a function (wedding/bday)?
If so did you get a partial refund?
Did they apologise?
Has anyone got experience of taking a wedding venue to court?
Any info would really help.
Thank you x

You'd need to divulge what the "major problems" were really for anyone to give any views - and if they were on the day problems or some time before the event (in which case, how far before)
Presumably its your wedding you are talking about and therefore given the importance to you then you may not be the most impartial judge of if something is major or not.
At our wedding we only had one issue with our venue and that was that they had 2 spaces and we only wanted/ needed the smaller of the two but the larger one had some better locations for photos. We had checked with them and they said the other space wasnt booked and unless there was a last minute do then we could use the space for free for an hour or so just to take pictures. On the day we could see it wasnt in use but the event manager hadn't told the staff the agreement and the duty manager said they didnt have the key to the area even if it had been agreed.
We didnt get any refund, it was a freebie/ favour they'd offered. We didnt get an apology however we were about £100 under the minimum spend for things and our waiter waived that - but no reference to the issue. We didnt sue as we'd no losses and contractually they werent obliged.0 -

The problem is in instances like this, people get over emotional. So that is where the problem with libel and things come in. As they don;t watch what they're saying, can get abusive or elaborate the truth.
If your experiences and communications are factual, the'll have nothing to sue you for.0 -
Just post the truth leaving emotion out of it, should be fine.Thinking critically since 1996....0
