Good evening all,
I have posted this on the mortgage board as well as I'm not sure where it should be- I hope that's okay?
So here is my sorry tale, My DH and I are in the process of purchasing a chain free house and all has been well thus far, Until today that is! We were told by our solicitor last Thursday following a meeting to sign the contracts that we would be looking to exchange/complete this Friday, so I booked the time off work etc and lo and behold my DH phoned today and was informed by the solicitor that our vendors have not even signed the contract and will be doing it tomorrow!!! Naturally my DH was a little miffed at this and queried why we had not been informed soon regarding this so we could alter plans, to be palmed off that our solicitor had been trying to contact the other parties etc.
Anyhoo apparently our vendor is definitely signing the contracts tomorrow and I believe exchanging.... Now the issue is drawing down the mortgage money (with Natwest) Is there a way we can get this in 24hrs? We are even willing to pay if necessary!
Many thanks in advance.

It definitely can be done. Last year, we exchanged on Wednesday, completed on Thursday andmoved on fFriday. There has been lots of delays with this purchase but it all happened within 24 hours. Everyone has to be on board though0

They can do same day transferDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Who is the solicitor acting for the lender (natwest)? Usually it would be the same solicitor you are using.
He will not Exchange unless he knows he can get the money
a) from you and
b) from the lender0 -
Yes it's the same solicitor and he has had the deposit, fees etc for several weeks (we had a purchase fall through at the last minute) all mortgage offer etc has been approved, signed etc and it's now just a case of drawing down the funds.OS Grocery Challenge
