Help Declined Citi Bank Application

Been reading all the posts about citibank - thought i would apply as my credit is bad . Just gave them a call - and was told that they had declined my application.
I was a bit shocked - as some of the threads that were posted - seemed to have a worse history than mine - i have not been made bankcrupt but have ccj and defaults and i am a homeowner
Help - what can i do next - as i would much rather a visa card
Has anyone else appealed and won ????

i had the same problem,a lot of people are getting a full visa card,cheque book with a and l at the moment.premier or premier direct ac.
you can also get 70.00 cash for being referred.(see other threads.)
