Spilled engine oil on laminate floor
Eas
I recently moved a crate that had a bottle of engine oil in it in my conservatory. Unfortunately, it seems the bottle had a split and engine oil had been leaking all over the floor. I soaked up what I could with kitchen towel but I have been unable to remove the stain from the laminate floor.
Does anyone have any suggestions on products to use to get this cleaned off? Is it possible to remove, or will I need to replace the laminate?

You could try a spray called brake clean which removes oil from brake linings etc and drys out completely (similar to carbon tetra chloride).0

I've heard a good way to get oils etc off a driveway is cat litter. Up to you if you want to try it on laminate!0

If your laminate is of a decent quality it should clean off using a detergent, washing up liquid will do, and if it has soaked into the joints it will eventually evaporate as it is much like petrol and from the same source product, just thicker
I wouldnt polish or seal the floor for quite a while though as this will seal it in
The one positive is its in the conservatory so i would keep the area ventilated a little more than usual to prevent a build up of the smell of fumes as it evaporates
