MP3 recommendation

Options
I'm after an MP3. Ideally less than £50 and 4GB but would consider 2GB. I've had a look on kelkoo and other places but there just seem to be so many. Has anyone got any advice or personal recommendations?

Cheers

I think you'll struggle to get this under £50 but its worth considering. Its the Sandisk Sansa e200 range.

Its a fantastic little device that has a fab colour screen and comes in capacities of 2, 4, 6 & 8GB. If you look hard enough, you should be able to find the 2Gig version for around £65 w/out postage.

  • You can buy mp3s on itunes at 79p each...

Sowwy, couldn't resist. I don't know anything about 2gb ones, mine has to be 30gb or above...

  • I think you would struggle to find a 4gb mp3 player for that price. You could possibly get one from Hong Kong off ebay but if anything went wrong with it you may have problems with waraanties, etc.

You can get a 1gb iPod shuffle for less than £50 which will hold around 250 tunes!

Some of the no-name ones, or the stuff with names you've never heard of from China can be built with substandard components and often have poor build quality and poor sound quality.

Which is why I'd stick to well known names such as Apple, Creative, Sony, Sandisk etc.

You're after an mp3 player as opposed to an mp3 file...it was a bad joke, honestly...

Another reason to recommend the Sandisk e200 range, is that it takes expansion cards.

So if you fill up your internal memory, just pop in a micro-SD card to boost the capacity.

Sandisk seem a reasonable price. I'd never heard of them though but will maybe look at getting a 2GB one.
