Help! Can I get my stuff back from doing a syn on iphone 4 to iphone 3 in itunes?

Hi
I've a iphone 4 which belongs to my friend who wants it back now as he broke his phone. My sister is giving me her old iphone 3. I've just sync this iphone 4 in itunes and I'm wondering can I restore it unto the iphone 3 again?
I've voice memos which I dont want to lose and it shows them now on itunes but I'm just wondering will they still be in itunes when I plug in the phone 3?
Also, I cant get my notes app to syn and even tried icloud and it's not working
About too pull my hair out!! lol

i think you have to de-register the iphone 4, so you can then register the iphone 3.
