    Well isn't that just great?
One of the most useful posters on this sub-forum gets banned.
The amount of effort ND put in to solving other people's problems was vast.
Many others like me read such threads with interest and learnt from them even though we felt we had nothing useful to add to them.

Thanks a bundle to whoever caused this.

Mind you it seems to be common on forums everywhere. Those who know a great deal and are prepared to help out are driven out by those who think they know - but actually dont.
Either they get banned or they get fed up trying to explain why it is like it is and go off to do something else with their free time.

I agree about posting rights, but I've never seen ND make a derogatory post about anyone (even under the most trying of circumstances).

I have I;m afraid - not particularly nasty, granted, but a little, ahem, arrogant?

Only posts I've read of his were on here and was helpful, he seemed to have some patience with 1 poster.

As have I, pretty much any time someone disagrees with him or doesn't post in the way he was expecting he immediately starts insulting them which is uncalled for. I don't see why anyone should see that as acceptable regardless of what information they're providing.

Provided you don't have the audacity to disagree with him, Donnie is a wonderful poster.

Mind you I expect his new user name will report this post for 'trolling' :(

If someone invests time and effort in helping on this forum, for free, then surely the helpee (?) should at least try and respond to the requests for information.

If you don't understand, say so.

With the random replies I've seen on some threads, it's no wonder someone might get a bit 'tetchy'.

Almost everything I've learned about pcs has come from this forum, Donnie and loads of other regulars, especially DCM and GJ, :o even Espresso. :p

I can now run rings around most of the youngsters, the ones, allegedly, that know everything about computers, because 'they grew up using them'.
    Move along, nothing to see.

I suppose anyone can have a bad day.
The only time I've really seen ND flare-up was when somone posted something either irrelevant or completely contradictory.
As for being arrogant, is that the way it's meant or the way it's being read?
:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.

It is "sort of" relevant as it pertains to a forum member who posts a lot HERE to help people. ;)
