Who do I apply to?

Hi. A friend has asked me to look into this for them. They have an old letter from 2004 from Abbey. The account has been closed about four years and I gather Abbey is now Santander. On the letter it says the Abbey credit card is issued by MBNA. The PPI certificate of insurance has Abbey and Norwich Union, an Aviva company. I see in the sticky that addresses for Abbey do exist so do I send my PPI consumer questionnaire to one of those addresses, to Santander, or one of the others in order to make a claim?
Many thanks.

  • Also, I've got very little paperwork to go with but I assume the policy number of the PPI is different to the credit card number, yes?
    Thanks

The complaint is sent to Santander. The account number is the bit that needs to be known where possible. If not, then make sure full names, addresses (current and past if changed during the period), date of birth are supplied to allow cross reference searches.

Many thanks. That makes it a bit easier. I struggling with lack of paperwork and my friend not remembering much from nine years ago.
    Cheers
