Help with Danfoss thermostat/central heating

Hi,

I am having issues with my central heating. I have a greenstar boiler which is controlled by a Danfoss TP5000 wireless thermostat.

I have four "events" set per day and they are as follows;

0630 - set to 20 degrees celcius
0800 - set to off
1700 - set to 20 degrees celcius
2130 - set to off

The problem I am having is that the heating is coming on outwith the set times. e.g today it came on at 0930.

I am looking for possible solutions. Could the wireless device be out of range with the receiver?

The anti-frost protection temperature has not been breached today as it is not cod enough.

Also, where should the wireless device be positioned in the house?

Thanks.

M

I have the wired version, run by battery. I change batteries every 2 years, 2x AA.

If RF then perhaps it need re-pairing.

Danfoss has manuals on their website. (Click the red arrow to turn pages)

    e.g.http://danfoss.ipapercms.dk/Heating/AutoGen/VIRMZ212/?ForceLanguage=en-UK
    Move along, nothing to see.

I forget the name but some thermostats have a feature that can be turned on/off which will attempt to heat the house so it as at a desired temp by the set time. So by this I mean if you set your thermostat to 22 degrees at 5pm it will turn on early and heat the home so it is 22 degrees BY 5pm and not just the traditional method of turning on AT 5pm. They gradually 'learn' how fast your home heats up from previous days and from this calculate the advance time needed to turn on early so that the desired temp is reached on time.

    Hope that makes sense !

    :)

EDIT: on yours it is called 'optimum start control' and details are here...
