Buggy Chrome crashing -windows XP

Finding Chrome browser regularly crashing on Windows XP.
Anyone else getting this ?

Using Version 31.0.1650.57 m.

Updated it to latest version in last month, before that I didn't have this problem.

Any suggestion & ideas what problem could be ?

Can I go back to previous version of browser ?

Me too - chrome seems to be buggy generally with lots of website's forms and other interative elements not working in it. I have given up and resorted to firefox which seems to be behaving very well.

Well with Firefox you can go back to an earlier version so I'm assuming this also applies to other browsers. If I found that a favourite theme or add on wasn't working with an update, I would just do a search for the previous version and install that one till the issue was fixed.
Also - maybe system restore to a point before the update might sort it?

I have that version of Chrome (it's the latest one) and mine works just fine so the problem is more likely to be with some extension or other you are using. Try disabling them all and enabling one by one to isolate the problem.

Checked, I only have 1 extension which is:
    . Google Docs 0.5

Disabled that, but it still crashed.

A Google error message suggested some things to check which includes creating new User Profile, as old one may be corrupted.

Will try that, see if that helps.

I'm using that version on my XP laptop - no problems at all.

Now updated to Chrome Version 32.0.1700.102 m, but was still regularly crashing.

Decided to try disabling all Services & Startup applications using msconfig.
Don't know why I didn't try this before.

Chrome is working ok & has not crashed for days. :T

So seems there is a conflict between Chrome and something else.

Will have to work through msconfig boot items to see which one is causing conflict.
