Paying a cheque into someone else's account

Hello,

Is is possible to hand in a cheque into someone else's account?

My Mum is on holiday and has asked me to look out for a cheque from northern rock, I have it here, So can I just walk into lloyds and pay it into her account?

    I do this for my partner from time to time.

    You just need your mums sort code and account number.

    You'll probably have to put it in an envelope and pop it in the drop box, just make sure you put the right sort code and account number on it!
