How do you ensure you see your wins?

Hi
Quick question, I'm fairly new to this but I wondered if there were any other rites that you can do a quick check on to make sure you haven't missed a win? I'm signed up to The Winners Circle on Facebook but was thinking of other ways to check? My FB feed changes so quickly I haven't got time to keep up with that and also entering lol! Thanks in advance :)

I have an "assistant" who checks my comping email for wins as I have been known to miss them.

Easily done with the amount of stuff coming in to it each day though :-)
  • And how do you acquire an assistant weeowens lol? I need one especially with the start of these advent comps I'm hearing about by the sounds of things!

I only have the one email so can keep on top of that at the mo but its more the FB announcements where they just announce the win but don't email you I was worried about :-|

Try using this occasionally for facebook comps, just type -Winner(Or Congratulations) "your name" into the search, it is not great but does bring some up

The assistant came at great cost :-) I had to go through a wedding ceremony as part of establishing the job but the role has worked out quite well :-)

Re only one email that's all I have.It still has 9274 unopened items in though but that's an improvement on last year as it had risen to about 14000 until I gave the assistant some advice re efficency :-)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Think I should have had a stricter selection process for Mr Butterfly :D

I find Google searching Social Searching my name to be a nightmare because so many people share it who seem to win things like horse racing and journalism prizes (oh and mustn't forget a very active member of the Bude Bridge Club!) :( BUT there are lovely folks on Facebook in The Winners Circle and The Winners Circle Happy One who post winning names and tag winners.

I suggest you join those and add lots of compers to your Facebook friends - especially now with Xmas coming up and all the Pass The Parcel games about to start

You do have be quite strict but the job role does evolve over time. When we got married I had not heard of this weird "comping" lark so had to put a training package together.

I was tempted to put the job out to outside agencies & see if other applicants came forward but I'm too bone idle for that so went in-house.

The pay is very poor for the assistant but I do offer catering & works trips(often via wins though) ;-)

Wow! You are my new hero!! :rotfl:

Ever thought of writing an article called...

"How to keep marital harmony and give sound advice" ;)
"The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming"
  • Hahaha thanks for the response, especially weeowens, very sound advice :-)

I can't seem to find The Winners Circle, I'm a friend of the happy one. perhaps its a hidden group and you need to be invited? Does anyone know if that's the case? I also need to work on my 'comping friends' on my FB page, having just started I have 10 lol :-(

  • hey the winners circle was made secret and then not but now they can't take new members or at least something very similar ( I can't quite remember) but I know they can't take new members on.The happy one is very good though and you can search it for your name. I have problems googling my name - even though its unusual it brings up all the competitions I've commented on.
Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!

Hoping for: some beauty goods, clothes, amazon vouchers, anime, manga, wardrobe, fridge freezer, laptop, an ipad, vouchers for next, exercise goods, a uk break and a wee hol somewhere nice!
    Wishing all a little luck:beer:
  • Yes I have same prob with my name it just brings up the comps I have put a comment on! Wondered if there was some way with brackets ANDs and ORs to sort it but obviously not. Thanks for letting me know re winners circle, I've spent ages looking for it lol!
