Yankee Candle samples ASDA & Tesco

Saw the Yankee Candle samples £1 each in both ASDA and Tesco and bought quite a few. I'd heard that they are good candles.
Just wanted to warn you all though, that unless you put the candle in a close fitting tealight/candle holder or in a container with a decent lip on, what you will get is a spread out puddle of wax. The candles just don't hold together as they burn down. I bought six and every single one was like it.
Just seems like a potential hazard to me and/or something which could stain nearby surfaces.

Just to say that these are YC 'Simply Home' range which don't seem as strong fragranced as the standard YC.0

Do you mean the votives (sometimes called samplers)? They are designed to be burned in holders - they are not like pillar candles. Once you blow them out they harden and you can light them again later.0

The candles are votives, that's what they're meant to do, the 'proper' Yankee Candle ones do exactly the same, as do every other brand of votive.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Sounds like a votive. They're supposed to fill whatever container they're in."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Votive holders are like this:

Pop the candle in, it burns down, fills out and then as said above hardens again when cold. To remove from votive holder (and tart burners work the same) place holder in freezer for 5 minutes after it's gone hard and they fall out
