  • Thanks everyone who helped me - I spoke to the manager at McDonalds who said he would recommend the charge was dropped, I also emailed UKPC directly into it with the working Guys dad suggested and a few days letter I had an email saying that on this occasion they would drop it.
so thanks a lot - will be more wary next time and in fact it will make me think twice before meeting anyone at McDonalds as there just isnt time for lunch and a chat in 90 minutes and Im not going through this again! I wont ever pay another one of these!
    Cheers everyone,

Do you know what? I'd be writing to McDonalds with that exact final paragraph so they know precisely the damage this PPC is doing to their business. And any self-respecting business would (should) have far more loyalty towards its customers than to any scamming PPC.

The more this happens, the better!

I am planning to write to McDonalds and I totally agree that the more of us that do this the better.

My partner recently got one of these from Asda - he called in to use the cashpoint on the way to work at about 6 am and called in at Asda on the way home from work - they suggested he had been there all that time! he emailed but hasnt heard anything back at all and it was weeks ago so presume its gone! Asda allow 2 hours but this is not enough time if you are doing a big monthly shop and want to look at clothes or have a coffee or lunch in the cafe as well!

Lets all complain at any opportunity and encourage everyone we know to do the same as it is harming their businesses and its stress we can all do without.

More power to your elbow on this.

In regard to Asda, don't deal with the local manager, email the CEO directly, there's not often the monkey can do much while the organ grinder is turning the handle.

Concentrate on the customer service side of things and challenge him on just what this scummy PPC is doing to his business.

Ask him where his loyalties lie? Dare him to say that it's with the PPC!

PS - one day someone will spell my name correctly. RIP Madiba.
