Debt recovery plus ltd

Hi
My mum used a free supermarket car park whilst waiting for my dad to have a lot of tests done at a nearby hospital. She didn't know how long he would be so she decided to do some shopping at the supermarket and shops nearby and, when she found out the tests were going to run on longer, she went back to the supermarket and then returned to her car where she sat reading until she could pick him up. She received a letter a few weeks later with pictures of her car (arriving and leaving I think) and saying she had overstayed at was being fined. I told her to ignore the letters completely and I would look after. She is now getting demands from Debt Recovery plus ltd demanding extra money and threatening court. I used to work in debt management so knew it wasn't enforceable but has that changed in anyway? I have not replied on her behalf not paid anything to them

You should have checked the current position, things change. Do as Redx already advised, and in particular look at the two stickies called:
1. 'newbies...read this now!' (why does no-one read it now?)!
In that sticky thread you need to read the links under DC - debt collectors although I am not sure why I bother as no-one reads it...fed up with telling people to read a sticky thread that's got such a clear title. Sorry but the whole point of sticky threads is to save us having to spend all day replying like this to every individual who seems to have landed on the forum without reading a thing.
2. and read 'successful complaints about PPCs'
...and learn how to complain and get it cancelled (I would be amazed if you hadn't tried complaining yet, she got a fine when she had been SHOPPING in a supermarket - so first port of call was the Store Manager ages ago, surely).
Exasperated today, sorry, what's the point of stickies... I may as well delete them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
