Puppy classes!

Very excited and just wanted to share, spoke to a lovely woman I had been emailing and Shadow starts tomorrow night!
We can bring the kids, it is all positive training based, it isn't a 'puppy free for all', she's a qualified behaviourist and I can't wait!
Flip knows how I will pay for this, have gone a bit crackers on amazons Black Friday, beans on toast for tea for the foreseeable then!

Brilliant, hope it's as much fun as it sounds :-)Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Gratuitous photo op!
I explained all about scampers and my sons nervousness and she was very reassuring, can't wait to report back.
She said the humping certainly wasn't dominance and she will show you how to handle this, this is my life now, wild excitement about my first night out in a year and it's to a puppy class!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

oh WOW! I cant wait either! NAM if you don't post with a FULL report tomorrow then - er, I dunno? we will fall out?lol
this sounds great hun - either that or its another episode of 'Marley and Me'! either way, I am so looking forward to it!
OMG - you should caption that 'The picture of Innocence'!0 -
My life is a series of 'Marley & Me' events as it is! I had my good telephone voice on as I was trying to get Shadow out of the cubby hole, from trying to climb on the phone table and then deciding the throws on the settee were fair game.
I sometimes feel quite isolated and this week is turning into a busy one, puppy classes, a rare shopping day out with mother on Thursday ( if I play my cards right, I may get me lunch out) and I am planning to put the tree up at the weekend, finished by watching Harry potter and the philosophers stone on Saturday and shouting out all the lines, all in all, great stuff. I also ordered an eezydog cujo lead, (that's an optimistic name, my daughter thought) on amazon for when she is bigger and the wee monkey was obviously feeling starved off attention as I fiddled about online as I just felt the tiniest little nudge of a nose on my leg and then a doleful little face looking at me for a cuddle. It felt fantastic!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

he is beautiful though - a face to melt the hardest heart! my OH had a black lab when we were courting. when we married we both wanted the dog to live with us and his mum wouldn't let us! but as we lived in the same street the dog sorted the prob by spending half his time with us anyway! he taught my DD to walk - she was crawling round at 8 months and he used to 'crawl' by the side of her - then he suddenly started standing up when she had hold of him......and walking very slowly with her! she wasn't allowed near the fire either - although there was a fire guard 'Pall' would block her off every time! I wasn't sure it was hygienic of him to 'wash her face' after her meals - but hey, they both enjoyed it!
Your Scampers has a look of my OHs lovely Pall. he is going to be a joy when he is older - but Pall had his 'own' ideas about things - and I think your Scampers is gonna be similar!0 -

ermm meri, that's Shadow, not Scampers....Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
oh shoot - so it is! sorry - bit distracted tonight! my deepest apologies!0

Is tonight the night NAM?
Just to let you know, Parcel Force is on its way over with LS. Thought you may as well take him for me too while you are at it
He is packaged up nicely and should be with you at lunch time.
Just send him back when he is all nicely behaved!
You'll enjoy it, and likely develop a whole new doggy social life to go with it. Since doing my classes I know that at least 2-3 days a week now there is some sort of dog related social thing going on.
Good luck!0 -
Ah Meritaten, lapses happen to the best of us. Wee scampers may be gone, but not forgotten, we talk about him all the time but still get upset looking at pics. That's life, unfortunately. Shadow couldn't be a more different creature, when you pet her, she's grand but poor scamps flinched unless he saw you coming, I hope he found a quiet home with lots of bones.
Katy, you're a hoot, LS will be a wonder dog and then you can look back on these threads and see how far you've both come. Already the humping here has diminished and at the time, I was pulling my hair out! I hope you used registered post, the only way I ever get owt (goes to look out window again for amazon impulse purchases and/or large dogs)
The 'best' dog club is booked to at least the new year, I was a bit sniffily told. I'm flipping raging as they do the whole good citizen thing and I would be interested in my daughter doing junior handling, it was me actually saying so can I ring you in the new year - I think they are very popular and there is literally nothing else going on for dogs, bar puppy classes in the cultural wasteland that is my home.
Lord above knows how tonight will go, shadows almost ready for bed by 7:30, I hope the trainer has chain mail gloves is all I will say. If I don't report back, I am probably sitting, rocking with a stuff drink in my hand!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

I took gitdog to an adult beginners class last night. Having prewarned them of all the possible issues, the little sod was good as gold last night and didnt put a paw wrong. I'm fully aware it won't last, having had a nightmare walk with him the day before, but it did give me a glimpse of the potential that's well hidden underneath the silliness, which was nice.
Hope it goes well for you tonight. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
