I'd like to join in again please Amara & say thanks for running this thread. I've never met my target yet but have made a big hole in one debt.

£400 this time and that'll clear the credit card. I'm so excited!

I think the new challenge does not start until 1 Dec?

It doesn't but my direct debit went out hence my starting amount being a lot less.

Not pledging to reduce any debt here, but if you have a T-Mobile contract and received a text saying that they have recalculated the price increase you may be able to cancel the contract PENALTY FREE (you keep the phone).
    • You can then go onto a Sim only deal and use the difference between you current monthly contract and a much cheaper SIM only deal to put towards the debt. Or
    • Sell the phone to help pay off debt and take out a new contract for less/same money.
Either way it will help to get those debts down!

If you are not eligible for the T-Mobile Penalty Free cancellation, you should still be able to get any sums you have paid over and above your originally agreed contract price refunded for any mobile phone contract with any phone operator if the contract was for 24 months or less. And if you are still on the contract future payments will be capped at the original price.

Additionally if your mobile provider "messes you around" when you contact them you may be also be able to get some small (£25-£50) compensation!

It all helps to pay of those debts!
