  • Its a Royal Water Villa (there are several and different grades) at the St Regis Bora Bora - see http://www.stregisborabora.com/1743/gallery for other photos - and its a lot more than £1,000 a night! Looking in May this year its £2,630 for a similar villa in the photo on a Room Only basis or you could upgrade to the Royal Estate for £7,890 per night RO

There are plenty of places that have these overwater type villas and whilst they are all fairly pricey plenty are cheaper than Bora Bora and the St Regis. The downside with the likes of the Maldives is that you are effectively trapped on an island with the only thing there being the hotel so at their pricing mercy for all food & drinks, at least with Bora Bora there is more on the island.

At over £2,500, a glass floor looking at the sea below and steps straight down into the sea.... I'd hope so otherwise you'll get to see your dinner at least twice.

Why would you want or need a pool when the sea is that crystal clear and inviting????

Well it might explain why you have a pool

Just to point out, I havent actually been to this place so cannot actually give any first hand explanation as to how the toilets work. Given it seems to be a fairly hot topic though I am more than willing to be a Guinea pig and go to investigate if everyone else clubs together to pay for me :A
