Is this worth reclaiming?

When I was 18 (11 years ago) I went to Natwest to open a current account. I was naive and just wanted to get the account open and get out of there. I told them that I would only be using the account for occasional spending and that it would not be my main account. They offered me an account with various benefits but didn't explain them and said it was x amount a month.

I never used the account and never paid a single penny in. I (apparently) wrote a cheque from that account, although don't recall this, and this, along with the fees for the 'benefits' I knew nothing about, my account went overdrawn and the fees totalled somewhere in the region of £800. Natwest phoned me and sold me a loan to pay off the 'charges' and then I had to repay the loan.

All very messy and I have no records of anything from my Natwest account as I obviously don't have it any longer, but, I know the address I lived at when I opened the account.

Is it worth trying to reclaim the fees that I ended up paying?

This was a long time ago.

Your memory of the times seems sketchy at best (e.g. you can't even remember writing a cheque out from the account, and claim not to have ever paid any money in anyway)

So unless you have some real evidence of any wrong doing (and I don't mean just some fading memories) then I suggest you get on with your present & future life and forget about the dim & distant past, eh?
