Does rejecting a loan agreement affect credit rating?

Hello
I've recently applied for and been offered a personal loan for £8k through Sainsburys, but I don't need the loan anymore. They have sent me the agreement papers through and I haven't signed or returned them yet.
Can anyone advise whether my credit rating/history will be tarnished should I decide to pull out at this stage?
Many thanks in advance!

Just the associated search will have an impact. If not too many of them in too short a time then should be no harm.Still rolling rolling rolling......
