Hi,
I purchased some clothes online once received they didn't fit or look nice on me after I tried them on. Now I'm trying to return them which they are happy to accept but won't give me a refund only a credit note.
They only do business online so I wondered is this right can they do this as I appreciate if its store credit at a actual shop that I could try on prior to purchasing but this is an online shop selling clothes which is really difficult to only offer a store credit as things are bount to look different or sizes etc.
Please help fast. X

Hi Chrissy,
Sorry I can't help, but I have the same query. I have looked under the Distance Selling Regulations and I think we might be able to get a cash refund if the contract is cancelled within 7 days of receipt of the goods. Can someone with better knowledge advise us both please?0 -
You are entitled to a full refund (to the same payment method you used), INCLUDING the original delivery charge (if there was one). You MAY have to pay the returns costs (depending on whether they define this in their T&Cs). They are obliged to make the refund in no later than 30 days, regardless of whether or not the goods have been returned (although no retailer will refund until the goods are back with them, so a form a tracked return is recommended).
When did the goods arrive?
Who is the retailer?0 -
You have 7 working days starting the day after delivery to cancel IF they informed you of your rights under DSRs in a durable form (websites are not durable).
If they did not inform you of your rights, you may have up to 3 months and 7 working days in which to cancel.
By cancel, I mean notify them of your intent to cancel in a durable form (email, letter, fax etc). You do not need to send the goods back within this period, merely inform them that you intend to cancel. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
