i assume its wrong bandwidth
can anyone let me know if theyve done this?
also does that technica one work with ntl or not?
if not for both, does anyone know which one does, that doesnt actually cast that much?
cheers
Most of the NTL remotes use a different infrared protocol to normal remotes. There is a solution that I've used before :
http://www.redremote.co.uk/
It's pretty cheap and easy to set up, and will allow you to use any normal remote control with the set top box. So you canbuy a different programmable remote to use with the AV sender and keep the NTL remote with the main TV/settop box.
Also check on ebay for the redeye converter because they are often available there.

They both run at 2.4ghz which is standard WiFi bandwidth
Certainly does. We have AV Sender, Wireless Access point/laptop, baby monitor AND a portable phone... blimey talk about interferace! I had to play around with the 3 different settings on the AV sender and the 13 channels on Wireless AP to get the best result. Trial and error (and also the occational loss of signal on the access point when I picked 2 channels that were too close together). The main problem is the AV Sender and the access point... when the laptop tries to connect and send large amounts of data over wireless it cripples the TV signal... hardly surprising really though.
Oh well... the price we pay for living in a modern technical world! ;-)

Although on the plus side with all this radiation floating around in my house I don't actually need to switch the fluorescent lights on - the bulbs start to glow as I bring them through the door :-)I think....0

You have (or at least I had) to use the cable with 3 IR senders on it into the transmitter as per the manual.0
