Snow Chains

Lidl currently have an offer on snow chains (£20), so I wander along to have a look as I'm driving out to the Alps in January.

They have 4 sizes but none of them list my tyre size which is 185/60R15. The nearest size I could see was 185/65-15, which seems pretty close. Would there be any reason why I couldn't use that, or why my size isn't quoted - is it that uncommon?

To be honest I lived for the last 7 years/6 winters in the Alps and never used my snow chains on the previous car! That reminds me... anybody got any steel wheels - as I'd like to get snow tyres and I always used to keep them on a spare set of wheels.

If your size was between the min and max you will be OK. But if its outside then get some of the correct size.

185/60 x 15 is not an unusualy size.

But its approx 20mm smaller than the 185/65 x 15
