Care Parking!!!

Hi can anyone help me please, my elderly neighbours, they are nearly 80 have just received a letter from Care Parking. They parked on The Range car park in St Helens for 2hrs 20 mins, they knew it was free for 2hrs and after that you had to pay but lost track of time, they came to their car to find a ticket on for £60 if they paid within 14 days or it would go up to a £100 after that etc.

It was like a day out for them as they don't go out much due to health problems and they can't afford to pay. I have read all the posts on here but is it really a scam, they are frightened they will have baliffis at the door!!! I am so angry can anyone help please???

Any questions let us know of course, but it has links to first stage appeals and how to win at POPLA (you'll learn what that is), and how to complain...whatever you need to know (hopefully). Elderly/disabled/infirm people are actually protected by the Equality Act 2010 and so should not be harassed like this, by law.

You should do an appeal in the rk's name (you do it for them but in their name) and you should complain to Tesco (Colliers) who own that site. Someone may have the contact details. They have only just kicked out Parking Eye and yet they've got Care Parking in doing the same thing!

By the way - they won't be paying a penny and there will be NO door-knocking. But these scams are best appealed now, and complained about (not ignored).

My wife received a ticket after being on The Range car park in St Helens for only ten minutes!
The manager of The Range was very helpful and as she was a customer he said he would get the ticket cancelled.
He also mentioned he had dealt with several ticket enquiries that day.
Full marks to The Range for handling this promptly, but why should you get a ticket after only 10 minutes? (The pics posted by Care Parking showed the car parked correctly within a normal bay)
