I would like to get a Kia Sportage but if you are buying via Motability are you able to haggle on anything, such as the Advance Payment?
Is there anything else that you can get 'extra'?
Thanks

It's down to individual garages.
Don't ask don't get springs to mind.0 -
Was a similar thread on a while back, various dealers of the same make can offer different deals on the same car,one may offer the car with less advance payment than others while another may offer an upgraded version for the same advance payment.
Main thing is to go round a lot of dealers but make sur you know for sure the car your seeking is the one you need as opposed to the one you want. Not long ago there was a poster on who wanted to know could he change his one series bmw motability car he had only had for 4 days.....
Motability cars are provided to make getting around easier for people with a disability so in the case of a kia sportage make sure you can climb up as its a fairly high car to get into, also consider if storage is needed for a wheelchair etc.
Dont be in a rush to decide, get the details of offers from various dealers and dont be afraid to tell one dealer if another is bettering their deal as they may be willing to at least match or even beat it.0 -
- the Oct to Dec '13 list is out
- best prices from dealers are last weeks of Dec and the month of Jan
- they will be much more willing to discount the 2013 [old Motability] modelsDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem. I ordered a Kia Sportage, (the 1.7 TD '3' model) on Motability only last week.
I visited a number of Kia Dealers across London and just outside but none were interested in a discount on the £508 advance payment price.
However when it came to ordering optional extras and accessories, there was indeed room for haggling, with upto 30% off the cost of the options and accessories (two dealers offered me 10% off and the dealer I went with offered 30% off). As I spent nearly £1K it was a decent saving.
I also managed to haggle for the usual full tank of diesel on delivery.
