e-petition !!!!

There is an e-petition up on HM Gov's website re stopping DVLA selling information to PPC's

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/44858

It's not that well worded BUT it may be a one off chance to get the minimum 10,000 signatures required to get a formal response. It's more I believe to get it raised in the house? 100,000

It's closing date is 24/1/2014

So get signing everyone and spread the word

I found it by chance because I googled Civil Enforcement Ltd after reading one of the threads on here and this youtube clip came up.

(sorry by mistake I posted this thread on motoring as well!! delete other one if it's a problem)

Seen loads of e-petitions before, often badly worded and they never get many signatures. It certainly won't happen in the next 2 months.

  • There has only been one other on the HM GOV website that I can see and that purely referred to the DVLC obtaining personal details it did not mention PPC's. They do not allow repeats on the same topic is my understanding of how there rules work. Otherwise I'd say write another one that is well worded.

Petitions can gain momentum very quickly if they are shared in the right way on social networking. e-petitions have to get to the right place so many will be fruitless.

Things will stay as they are unless people try to get the politicians to listen, if you don't ask you don't get.

You can take the Government on and win and get law changes it takes a long time but it can be done that's if people have the will to do it.

No one has anything to loose by signing do they?

Poorly worded and a waste of time, PPC's are parasites but do they nick rare or desirable cars?
  • Yes I do agree the last comment is unfortunate and side tracks the whole matter.

Which is a shame, but I do think a properly started well worded e-petition on HM Gov website is something well worthy of consideration.

I suppose you would have grounds for another well worded one given the claims in the one above.
