PPI claim on a storecard.

Options
In 2008 I defaulted on a store card with House of Fraser.
The debt was taken over by CL Finance Ltd / Lewis Debt Recovery and payments under a DMP are being made. I have lost my copy of the original application for the card although I do have my card/account number. An old statement from 2002 shows a monthly charge for “Account Cover Premium” which I assume is PPI.
I propose to claim this PPI by using the template letter on here. Who do I write to? House of Fraser, CL Finance / Lewis debt Recovery or GE Capital Bank Ltd whose name is on the Frasercard ?
Thanks.

    Finding the correct address to write to is the least of the problems you'll encounter if you decide to proceed.

    The first is that you obviously purchased the PPI before January 2005, which makes your complaint prior to regulation.

    The second is that defaulting on the card will likely mean that, even if any redress were to be awarded, it would be offset against any unpaid debt or amounts written off during settlement.

    The third is that you don't appear to have any mis-selling complaint...

    you write to who owns the card now, when they reject your complaint, you complain to the underwriter of the insurance.

    The Op should note that , as this account was subject to a DMP, any interest or unpaid debt would likely be set off in the event of a successful complaint;
