Daughter bought new home, under study window large raised bed,about 25 ft long and 4 ft wide. what to plant, we have got rid of weeds, rescued old rose bush put in some winter pansy but what now, what shrubs would survive, heavy soil part shade?Any ideas welcomed.

Right now in our part shade heavy soil border of interest we have a viburnum in bud and some cyclamen.
Soon a blanket of snow drops appear and the heel bores put on a show, and early in spring the japenese quince. They don't perform as well in shade, but cope.0
