Roof replacement

Looking for some advice. I recently requested some quotes for a new roof to be installed on my house, it had been leaking, some of the supporting boards had broken away and we had some loose tiles.

We were advised when given a quote that our roof was fine, the boards were not an issue and they could be replaced from the inside (which personally I thought a little strange but not being a professional roofer couldn't have said for certain it wasn't possible), and all we would need is a simple repair job.

Now that the work has been carried out (missing out a required job, which I have requested be done before they leave) they are telling me it will only last about 2 years.

As I am sure you can imagine I am quite annoyed about this as we had initially intended to have a full replacement carried out. .

Do I have any rights with regards to being given incorrect information?

TIA for any info that you may have.
