well done , great feeling isn't it ...
Are those pre paid credit cards any good ? I keep thinking about getting oneBR as of 26th April 2007 and feeling 10 years younger :T
If only ex could be sorted as easily :wall:0 -
Hi all done - officially BR as of exactly 12.00!!
Though very daunting at first it was a very easy process and everyone at the court was very friendly and helpful.
Saw the judge - took about two minutes - not a court just a small side office - he was very nice.
I wished I hadn't been so frightened before I went in as there was absolutely no need to be.
So to anyone out there who needs to do this, do not be put off.
Well done to debtmonkey - glad it went well for you to.
Take care everyone - off to have a nice glass of wine and enjoy the sunshine in the garden with my little boy.

Hi-stopped at 2 pints (but it is strong cider!)!
Forget to mention-when I had the brief OR phone chat he asked about the car (Peugot 106-10 years old-slightly dented bumper-one door won't open & scratched slightly on one side-but good runner!)-glasses guide is about £450-my advisor (mentioned in previous threads) said put it in at about £150 as that would be all it would get at auction-OR said straight away they would have no interest!
Will be moving soon-early-mid july-renting a room in a friends flat (good old WH Smith for the agreements!) so goodbye secured HUGE debts too-will be giving keys back to lender (house is a total state anyway & I'm crap at DIY being a single guy) & using my....ahem...'charms' to try & get them to keep me off repo register (CML lenders , I quote 'MAY' put you on register if you give keys back) which does make the availability of mortgages harder, ie less LTV, higher lock-ins, etc...
Will let all know re OR meeting!
Still not 100% sunk in....the process was so quick & not at all umpleasant that it's hard to realise I HAVE NO DEBTS ANYMORE!0 -
I am so pleased for you.
Just waiting for the OR to ring me to clear a few things for me - hopefully I will get to keep my car to!
Best of luck for your debt free future!
Take care
