Parking Charge from MET

Hi all,
Wonder if someone could help me out with this...
I received a PCN from MET through the post back in April. I sent an appeal to them which got rejected. Since then however I've ignored all their letters and threats - as per the old advice on this site.
After receiving a new letter the other day though from Zenith Collections who are offering me a "reduced settlement" of £79.99 (down from £150) I checked MSE again and have seen all the new advice saying to appeal. I've obviously left it more than 28 days since appealing to MET so I presume I can't appeal through POPLA now?
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on what i should do now?
Thanks

Here is the latest forum advice, contained in a single thread, covering most eventualities, including how to deal with Debt Collectors' letters.

Have a read through that first. If there are any questions afterwards, come back.
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
