Faulty Microwave ... must I wait for a repair

An elderly relative has a carer to make his meals and the microwave is essential.
It was only bought about 2 months ago from 'one of those famous German supermarkets'
They have offers in store so don't keep their electrical items for more than a couple of weeks, so a straight swap is not possible. They usually take the items away and get it fixed.
Because of the use I am unable to accept this, so would rather get my money back and buy a new one immediately. Is this possible, or do I have to wait ?
thanks

You should have asked on a consumer rights board not this technical one. All I can suggest is that you talk to the customer services people and explain why waiting for a repair is impossible.0

No, they can repair, replace or refund at their discretion.
But since cheap microwaves are not often economically repairable, explain the circumstances and ask them to replace or refund. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I the supermarket begins & ends in L then they are on offer this week, so replacement should be possibleEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
