Any "perks" for DLA claimants?

I've just been awarded Higher Rate DLA for both mobility and care.
I'm absolutely certain I can't get IB or any means tested benefits so I'm not looking for benefits advice, but are there any little extras that I can get as a result of DLA?
I have checked and my council will give me a Blue Badge
I will apply for a special pass so my carer can get free cinema tickets
I've already got a Radar Key
I know I might qualify for discounted tickets at museums, National Trust etc
Can anyone suggest anything else?
Thanks!

Depending on where you live there could be dial-a-ride or taxicard schemes.
In London for example, you could also get a freedom pass for free bus or tube travel (like the senior citizen's one but with fewer restrictions about times when you can use it).0 -
If you have a car and recieve high rate mobility, you can get free car tax.
Your blue badge will give you free crossing of severn bridge and other tolls.
Some libraries will give you free loan of audio books, no fines of late returns."I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

You can lease a Motability car (if you want to):

As you get DLA, you will get Disability premiums, which means you may be entitled to help with Council Tax/Rent.
Check your local council for travel passes etc.,
If you need help in the home, then contact your local Social Services.
If anyone is caring for you 35+ hours a week, they may be able to get Carer's Allowance:

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

Even although you dont think you will get Income Support, it is worth applying as even if your entitlement is 1p per week you get free NHS scripts, eye tests, and dental works.Once you get high rate care, you are entitled to the disability permium, severe disability premium (if you live alone, otherwise someelse can get it in the form of carers allowance for you), and the enhanced disability permium, all which add up to just over £145 per week for a single person over 25.Hope this is of some use.James0

I wouldn't class being on high rate DLA a Perk, and class anything free that goes with this Status as a Perk. I am sure you suffer with your illness!
Carers can get in free in most places - this isn't a 'perk' - this is to aid your mobility. They are 'caring' for you and perhaps, you would not be able to go to for example, a Zoo, without being cared for.. so therefore the Zoo would lose out on YOUR payment. Letting the Carers in free enables you to have a day out, the Zoo to benefit from your entrance fee.. and you have the support where necessary.
Lots of places do this. Enjoy your trips out!0 -
My husbands disabled and we both get in half price at Longleat, and i go free as a carer at the Eden project etc.Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0

Thanks to everyone who replied, it was very helpful.:A
I'm in two minds about the Motability car, maybe we can leave that till the current family car conks out. Free road tax in the meantime is good though
Thanks again, where would we all be without other MSEers to help us out :T0
