I just wish we could have less gobbledigook full stop.
I travel from Port Talbot to Oxford regularly, and the announcements begin 4-5 minutes before you reach the station telling you to mind the gap between the train and the platform edge (would mind the gap not suffice?!), take all your belongings, how many different locations you can end up at if you change here...and on and on.
And then when you pull off the "Passengers are advised that if you see any suspicious behaviour inform the police" announcement. LEAVE ME IN PEACE!
In Germany, there's a brief "nächster Halt - station name". And that's it.0
