i know it sounds silly but i am at a loss. My local supermarket doesnt stock many other than the usual ones.

Hi, Depending on what light bulbs you are after! I tend to use the local DIY store who generally get good quality bulbs. Unfortunately there are alot of cheap bulbs around that do not last! so if you prefer darkness avoid the cheapies:)0

Ebay mostly. I buy them in bulk as otherwise postage costs are high.0

visit your local independent lighting shop. they have the best selection of replacement lamps at reasonable prices.
these type of shops are fast disappearing because everyone is too quick to 'buy on line'. the added bonus is if a bulb proves to be a dud you can return it easily for replacement.0
