Rant about Halifax

I am all for modern technology but I am sick and tired of how machines have replaced people. I have to pay my cash and cheques into a machine, I have had my money spat out of the machine and a cheque recorded with the wrong amount. If you do go to the kiosk you are always asked why did you not use the machine....excuse me, what exactly do they do now that we are supposed to use their machines.
There was a time when I used to walk in and request to see someone about my account and would see someone within 10 mins, now I have to make an appointment for a weeks time. During this appointments they try to see loans, mortgages and life insurance. I really wish they went back to basics.

If it is a machine then the amount recorded is what you type in?
I'm with Halifax and not experienced any of these issues but if it is a problem then move to another bank. I also pay money into Natwest and never have a problem doing so at the counter.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
To be fair you can REFUSE to use the machine - but you will probably have to queue - your choice.
If they ask why you did not use the machine just tell them that you want to save their jobs - that usually shuts them up.0
