Ideal World "efficient" electric radiators

The Ideal World shopping channel is currently selling 600W electric radiators - for £600 each!! And this is apparently a bargain price, they are supposed to be £800! They can only offer this special price because they are selling so many, but the offer is limited so hurry, hurry, hurry!

    Comedic !!!!!!!!.
http://www.orionairsales.co.uk/toshiba-air-conditioning-ras-b10skvp-25kw--8250btu-inverter-490-p.asp - for example is 899 (and will probably require installation) but is 500% efficient compared to those heaters, and puts out way more heat.

Uses about 500W, while putting out 2.5kW. (at 7C outside temp)

Other than that - these heaters are just as efficient as a 20 quid job from argos.
  • Scary, though. They've got "experts" on there explaining why they're so much better than central heating and lots of viewers will be gullible enough to believe them. I didn't hear any mention of why they were supposed to be better than a cheapo convector or oil-filled radiator before I had to switch over out of sheer disgust.

That traitor Dyson was flogging £400 fan heaters on QVC last week.
