Your paypal account does not log out automatically

Has anyone else ever noticed that, after paying for an item with Paypal, it does not automatically log you out when the transaction is complete? If you pay for something, then go onto your Ebay page and click through to Paypal, you will see that it has been left open. I worry that this could be a back door for any scammers who get into your system. A big failing on the part of EBay! I always go back into Paypal and log myself out but you should not have to do it that way and I'm sure that a great many people are not aware of this. It never used to be this way years ago but I can't remember exactly when it changed.

Just so that everyone is aware of this. :)

Yes, this is something I've noticed & share your fears of. It's so easy to overlook that you are still logged in to your paypal account & in these days with a high volume of scammers etc. you'd think paypal would log you out after so many minutes of non activity just as many banks do when logging into your online account.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I noticed this when I paid for a parcel on Hermes site, when I later went into Ebay I could get straight into my Paypal without having to log in!

Good idea to go straight back in to your Paypal account and log out each time you pay for a purchase. It really is a disgrace that they leave your account open as it's not something we would do ourselves. I'm sure people must have pointed it out to them by now as it's been that way for ages now. I must check on the EBay Community or Discussion forums within EBay to see if anyone has mentioned it there.

Although I agree it would be best if it timed out is this really such a problem? If you are in an internet cafe or a library, yes you should log out.

In your house it doesn't really matter does it? If scammers are into your computer, key logging will happen as you type passwords in. You are exposed to fraud whether you are logged in or out from then on.
