Bathroom order of work

Can anyone give me some advice about the order of work for bathroom renovation? Unfortunately I do not have the time off work to do it all in one go, or the money to get it done professionally. However, a minimum amount of work is fairly urgent as the tile grout on the shower wall has failed and water has damaged the plasterboard behind and ceiling below.

So as a minimum I need to reboard two walls with waterproof board and retile them but I need to fit this into a complete renovation scheme.

For example, the ceiling needs replacing, but can this be done after retiling or not (tiling up to ceiling)?

And if I want to put shower pipework into the stud wall, does this need to be done before tiling, or is it better done from the other side (the other side needs reboarding too at some point)?

The ceiling is the messiest part so needs to be done first, are you gutting the whole bathroom and starting from scratch?

You can also check out my old thread for ideas to put you off ;o)))

Yes, everything needs redoing eventually right back to removing all the wall linings to install internal insulation.

This is what the bedroom next door looked like while I was renovating it (immediately before removing ceiling):-

Unfortunately I don't have the time to remove everything like that in one go at the moment.
