Just a thought but TNT parcels and mail used to be delivered in the Manchester area by Royal Mail, but are now being delivered by their own posties and some of them do seem to be a bit lost and actually delivering up to 8 o clock in the evening. Maybe they're stuck in their sorting depo.

To be fair, I recently bought a number of parcels and none of them arrived. My neighbour came round one day and said "do you know I have about six parcels waiting in my house for you?"...

No, I did not. Royal Mail didn't leave a card, and nor did UPS who delivered one of the six. Poor service from both, but better than finding out they'd been stolen.
  • To be fair Royal Mail are a joke. They seem to be living in a time there is only Royal Mail and no one else and can delay mail for the fun of it.

Now to await the unofficial Royal Mail rep to defend them to the hilt.

I have called them again today to see what the sorting office response was but no joy with anything and no post today.
I can't escalate my claim to a full complaint until the manager from the sorting office gives his response to say if they are there or not. which he has had since Friday morning to do!
so I'm going to have to take a trip down there tomorrow I think
I haven't actually done any INR claims for eBay yet I'm thinking I need to but I really really don't want to

    We live in hope
    Happy days
  • Omg omg omg omg :j

Got home from school run this morning couldn't open to the front door!!
There was 12 of the 17 parcels on the doorstep inside the house and a red slip for another 4 of Them

    Actually can't believe it that's 16 out of 17

I'm sooo glad I didn't file any INR eBay claims

I'm thinking now a bag full my stuff was left in the back of someone's van or something like that

Honestly I've not been sleeping thinking I would be banned off eBay
    I'm so made up

    Chuffing Royal Mail
    Happy days

I have had a very similar experience. I had real issues earlier this year, lots of items not arriving, then one day a van turned up with piles of stuff, and about 20 minutes later another van with more things...It was just like they had kept them all back in the office to save themselves a journey.

I have lots of stuff delivered, a high percentage of my business orders still come RM and we very often get a private car pull up with a pile of items for us.

I always ask if they want me to leave a card telling them where their parcels are.

Don't use us then. Get all your mail including letters and parcels delivered by courier. There are other options I believe TNT are now delivering letters in a number of the larger cities. FYI delaying the mail is a disciplinary/dismissal offence.

I was going to reply to this earlier, but decided against it as it would likely be jumped on

November is a tough month for DO/MCs
packets increase through November, but the Christmas staffing doesnt really start until the end of November/December

So you have no extra staff and an increasing workload
So excluding all the other issues in day to day operations you have the disparity of staffing and increasing volumes

When I saw how many packets you had due,I guessed it was an issue at the DO

Sorry I know the 2nd one was abit harsh but YES WE DO WANT A RED CARD TELLING US WHERE OUR PARCELS ARE.

How else are we supposed to know that they are their??? :rotfl:
People don't know what they want until you show them.

I don't and Ive caught my LDO holding post back (posted a letter to myself and 8 days is a joke)

Oh I don't use royal mail for anything. Any letter I send now goes DHL/Fedex/UPS. Costs more but least it gets there!
