  • Can't the owners be contacted through the chip? Years ago alot were American ones. Try Dogs Blog too but if it's a foreign chip it could be from abroad so unlikely to find owner here. Hope s/he gets reunited soon x

    Thanks Tigerlily. :heart2:
I don't know how I stumbled across this (don't do twitter) and that seemed to be a dead end.
I've just found some more info (facebook) and happily there are nice people helping.
Lovely Lucie will share the chip number when she gets it later today.

  • Please don't share the chip no - it is of no use to MOPs.

Please call Petlog, if they don't have the details they can advise which company to call.

  • We managed once to trace the owner of a cat with a German chip. Because we were given a surname, although they no longer lived at the German address and we couldn't get a reply from the new tenants, we looked up everbody with that surname in our area using the phone book. We hit lucky with our first call.

Petlog did help us by telling us which the German chip company was.

  • Thank you Hillbilly and moggymutt.
I will let you know as soon as I have news. I spoke to petlog tonight they are trying to do a reverse search on chip, it all takes time.
