Esa support group and dr`s notes

I have just been awarded ESA (from Nov 11th) and been placed in the support group but I am not sure what I have to do in regards to DR` notes.
Do I still have to send them in every 6 months or not? Any help/advice much appreciated.

No you don't need to provide them, Fit notes only required during assessment or appeal.

Sounds like OP may have transferred from IB.

    Yes I have :)

Another question I have is how long the award lasts for? cannot find any mention of it on letter.

ESA is an indefinite award so claimants are not routinely told when to expect reassessment. In theory this can be anything from 3 months to 3 years. In practice a 'prognosis' should be entered on the computer and this will trigger the reassessment process.

You can phone DWP and ask for the prognosis or you can write and ask for a copy of the ESA85 (if you had a face2face assessment) or ESA85a (if you did not)

you wont be told unless you ask
