Help with new bathroom costs please?

Hi

My bathroom suite is very ancient (original, 1960's! although very sound and solid) and desperately needs replacing. I will be getting a small amount of money next year (around 2k) which I am hoping will cover the cost of replacing....

If I get a basic/cheap bathroom suite (toilet, bath and sink)... Can anyone give me a ball park figure of how much someone might charge to replace these for me and take the old ones away, please?

Tiling I could possibly do myself (have done tiling before but am not great at it!) but the plumbing and fitting is beyond my remit. I can do the flooring myself with vinyl or carpet I have in the loft.

Many thanks in advance :)

You can get a basic bathroom suite for sub £250. Upgrade the taps to add a bit of style (another £100). If you are leaving everything in the same place, ts a couple of days work for a plumber plus any new pipe work, connectors etc. allow say £500 for labour and parts. Then tiles, flooring etc. Remove the old tiles yourself. You may need some re plastering so allow for this. If you just tile round the bath (typically 5 - 6 sq metres). You'll get a decent tile for £20/ metre. 2 tubs of adhesive at £15 each plus £15 grout. You should do it for £2k but it may not give you much room for manoeuvre. Plus if you want say a shower mixer tap this will be more plus a shower screen or curtain.
