  • A £16 phonecall to 4 different representatives kept coming back to computer issued it.

    1 storecard with £120
    1 loan with Lloyds

New credit limit from rival bank £6700

Never heard of Rival Bank TBH,but they've gave a decent credit limit.

Bye Bye Lloyds, Just done Balance transfer to 0% card with a rival bank

    :money:

That is exactly what anyone unhappy with their current provider, should do, if they are able to.

Just remember however, that at some point, that lender to, could well do the same.
  • Lloyds will say job well done!

They have successfully got you to payback everything without loss to them.

I would also make a complaint to Lloyd's, as Yb says.

I would make a complaint too, even though you are moving it's worth doing as they might report you being over your limit to the CRA.

I doubt Lloyds is in the slightest concerned. Your wife is probably one of many. With some several billions to raise in capital to meet regulatory requirements. Cutting unused card facilities is one way of helping to fill the void.

I'd try claiming the BT fee on the grounds that they'd forced you into it.

Rubbish, they didn't "force" her to move providers, she chose to.

Lloyds are 100% in the right with regards to reducing the limit without notice, the only aspect that you can legitimately take issue with is that they reduced it below your current balance.

Though the OP doesn't specify whether they specifically pointed that out and requested it be increased again slightly to cover that, I don't personally believe it's worth any compensation. If they do however then it can't hurt to make a fuss - maybe they'll manage to get a couple of quid.

Never had an issue with Lloyds credit card. My limit has been 15,000 pound stg for about 6 years and only use about a few hundreds pounds of it each year.
